Shaddy Safadi artist research

Just browsing through artists when i come across this guy, Shaddy Safadi a concept artist and illustrator who currently works for 'Naughty Dog', the same people who made Crash Bandicoot.

His work is amazing, check out this icescape:

He used photoshop CS4 to build up this piece. I love the way the streaks of light and colours really give this piece a cold feel, the different tones of blue and white blending together.

Really, i have no idea what to say or how to say it, i just love this piece. Again done in photoshop, the attention to detail is insane. The light on the mountain, the flames and smoke of the fire and the shadows all work together to create a real mountain scene.

I'm following his blog and am going to email him to get more information on him and how he creates his pieces. I'll let you know what he says :)
